Course Overview
This course will improve your endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) knowledge with didactics and hands-on education at multiple simulated model stations. Experienced physicians will share their expertise through case-based discussion including challenges and risks. ERCP- 2 will focus on aspects of biliary access and stricture management, including indications, cannulation techniques, tissue acquisition, dilation, and stenting for benign and malignant strictures. A unique component will be an open-panel discussion with the faculty concluding with an anything-goes Q&A!

Course Objectives
- Learn different types of cannulation for stricture management
- Explore different techniques and devices to obtain samples for stricture management
- Differentiate between dilation balloons and dilation catheters in the management of biliary strictures
- Perform sphincterotomy on a simulated papilla
- Practice proper sphincterotomy to aid in stent placement
- Determine best stent (plastic or metal) based on stricture presentation
- Practice proper technique of deployment using plastic, metal, and double stenting
