Course Overview

Share ideas and gain insights from experts in the field of urology during this residency and fellowship training. Learn about using lasers to treat BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) through hands-on training and didactic presentations. Expert physicians will lead you through the course, sharing insights into treatment techniques and discussing the advantages of using lasers for prostate procedures. 

Course Objectives 

  • Learn the characteristics of lasers and how to adjust settings to optimize prostate treatment 
  • Learn and understand the benefits of the Litho 150 Ultra High Power Holmium Laser System and the Fiber Dust Thulium Fiber Laser 
  • Be exposed to the latest technology for treating BPH from Cook Medical 
  • Discuss techniques for performing HoLEP, HoLAP, and ThuLEP (thulium laser enucleation of the prostate) with increased proficiency and techniques for managing complications 
  • Engage with a subject-matter expert to address specific product and procedure questions
