Introduction to Endovascular Therapies:
Peripheral and Aortic Interventions

endovascularcourseThis course will focus on diagnosis and treatment of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, common PAD, and other vascular diseases in the periphery. Attendees will observe one day of cases that may include SFA and below-the-knee leg procedures, IVC filter placement and retrieval, and AAA endovascular graft placement. Attendees will have the opportunity to become certified in Zenith Flex® and Zilver® PTX®

Course objectives:
At the end of this course, attendees should understand:
  • The importance of patient selection and how to identify the appropriate anatomy for EVAR
  • The basics of case planning, imaging techniques, wire and catheter skills, radiation prevention, endovascular accessories, access and follow up

Training mode: Hands-on animal lab, case observation, and didactic dinner session

Recommended for: All vascular integrated residents and vascular fellows
